With effect from the 1st January 2008 the English Bowling Association and the English Womens’ Bowling Association ceased to exist. The two associations amalgamated to form Bowls England. The Headquarters of Bowls England remains at Worthing with a satellite office at Leamington Spa.

Although the Official Opening Day will remain as Saturday 26th April, the Green Manager has said that the green is now ready and, weather permitting, will be available for roll-ups/practice each afternoon from the 10th April.

It has been agreed that ladies will be permitted to bowl on the green on Sundays subject to there being no Club fixture on that day. A full playing member of the Club must be in attendance at all times who should take full responsibility for the security of the pavilion and its outlying buildings. The normal green fee will be payable by all visitors.

Members will have noticed the new floor of the pavilion which is a great improvement on the last one which had been in place for many years and was showing considerable signs of wear.

The General Committee have decided that, with effect from 2009, all home matches, regardless of opponents, will be played in greys.
